Surrounded by its charming and secluded garden, our Edwardian family home offers the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of 21st century life. Relax and unwind in our spacious and sunny rooms with far reaching views to the hills.
We are just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Bridport; a lively market town perfectly situated within the heart of the Jurassic coast and ideally placed to take advantage of all that West Dorset has to offer.
Bridport Harbour, now known as West Bay is less than two miles away. It has all the charm of a British seaside resort and has spectacular views of Portland, Lyme Bay and the Jurassic Coast.
For those who love walking, West Dorset offers an exceptional mix of awe inspiring coastline, ancient wooded valleys, rolling chalk downlands and secluded river valleys making it a true rambler’s paradise.
The range and quality of Bridport restaurants is rightly renowned. Eating out in Bridport and West Bay offers a wide variety to suit all tastes and pockets. With Mark Hix’s fish restaurant in Lyme Regis and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage near Axminster, the surrounding area holds many culinary delights.
Right outside the house there is the Poole to Exeter coastal route bus stop, and the footpath to the coast and Allington Hill with its panoramic views of Bridport, West Bay and Marshwood Vale is only yards away.
We have plenty of off road parking and the centre of Bridport is a short stroll so there is no need to take your car out in the evening.
For those wanting a longer stay, we also have a self-catering holiday cottage for rent – The Lodge, just across the drive from the main house.
To book, please telephone 01308 459963 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can also check availability on the website and reserve your room (you will need to confirm the booking by phone and to pay the deposit within 24 hours).
We look forward to seeing you!
Just to let you know (as of February 2015) we have a new family member – Albee, our working cocker spaniel puppy!
But please be reassured – he is not allowed in the guest areas.
